1. About KUi Keys

KUi Keys is a macOS application that lets you configure supported USB keypads to trigger shortcuts, macros, and custom actions. The app stores your configuration profiles locally on your Mac.

3. License and permitted use

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions / Mac App Store rules, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control.

4. Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the app, except as permitted by law.
• Modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, or create derivative works of the app.
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or infringes the rights of others.

5. Supported hardware and system requirements

The app works only with supported keypad hardware models and compatible macOS versions. Compatibility information is provided on the website and may change as the app evolves.

6. Updates and changes

We may release updates that add, remove, or modify features. Apple may also apply platform-level changes that affect the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated app behavior.

7. Links and external services

If we ever provide links to third-party websites or services (for example Apple / Mac App Store pages or other external resources), those third parties operate under their own terms and policies and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Disclaimer

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all devices or configurations. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data and for using the app in a safe manner.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for any damage to your computer, peripherals, USB devices, keypads, cables, or other hardware arising from use or misuse of the app.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will KOBY Studio be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KOBY Studio's total aggregate liability for any claim related to the app will not exceed EUR 0.99.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted by applicable law.

10. Termination

These Terms are effective until terminated. You may terminate them by uninstalling the app. We may terminate or suspend your license if you materially breach these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply in your jurisdiction.

1. Summary

• No account required: we do not ask you to register or sign in.
• No cookies: the app does not use cookies.
• No analytics: we do not track behavior or usage inside the app.
• Local storage only: profiles are saved locally on your Mac and are not transmitted to us.

3. Data we collect

We do not collect, store, or receive personal information from the app. In particular, we do not collect your name, email address, device identifiers, IP address, location data, or any content you create in the app.

4. App Store information

Apple may provide us with aggregated, non-identifying metrics through App Store Connect, such as total downloads and uninstall counts. These metrics do not allow us to identify individual users.

Apple acts as an independent controller for personal data processed in connection with the Mac App Store. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for details.

5. Local data stored on your device

KUi Keys stores configuration profiles and preferences locally on your Mac (local app storage). This data stays on your device unless you export, back up, or share it yourself.

6. Legal bases (GDPR)

Because we do not collect personal data through the app, we generally do not process personal data as a controller in the normal operation of KUi Keys. If you contact us, we will process the information you provide (for example, email content) to respond to your request, based on our legitimate interest in providing support and/or to perform a contract (support).

We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) because we do not process personal data on a large scale.

7. Your rights (GDPR / EEA / UK)

If we process personal data in the context of support communications, you may have rights such as access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. To exercise these rights, contact us via https://ui.koby.studio/contacts.php.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (for example in the EU/EEA or UK).

8. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

Because KUi Keys does not collect personal information from the app, CCPA/CPRA requests generally do not apply to app usage. If you contact us through our contact form, we will use your message only to respond and provide support.

Depending on your situation and to the extent applicable, California residents may have rights such as the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, the right to opt out of sale/sharing, and the right to non-discrimination. 9. Data retention

We do not retain personal data from app usage. If you contact us, we retain your message only for as long as necessary to address your request and for reasonable record-keeping.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information you provide to us via support channels. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. Children’s privacy

KUi Keys is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Do Not Track

Our websites are not designed to track users across third-party websites, and we do not use analytics in the app. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal; we do not respond to DNT signals.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update these Terms and this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date at the top of this page.
